My First Office Project !!

I've had many experience during my college days with this "project" work. Our project was guided by our subject guide, who would help and assist us in each and every step of our progress. And since we did that project "outside", it was like having "two guides" for the same project. :P

The office project was totally different. We were split up into two teams and the saddest part (for me and most importantly my team members) was that I was the team leader. You guys might be wondering how i became the leader. Well.. its because I raised my hand when the CEO asked. :P ;)

There are usually two kinds of teams. Number one, the team with the smart leader and stupid members. Number two, the team with a ultra-stupid leader and smart members. Well.. (as you guys guessed) my team falls under the second category. I wasn't much well-versed with the leader stuff.

We split up our work among the members and then started working ( from the next day :P) As most leaders would do, splitting up works (even the leader's works), I did the same. I was no exception. But still worked a little, fearing the camera. :P

Team work was felt in each and every move, and the way each and every person contributed was fun and a symbol of "unity". Arun, Radha, Persis made up our team. Arun took care of the key portion of competitor analysis, Radha handled the Outdated services section and Persis, the SWOT analysis. And Persis was also the one correlating all the data we collected and making a full report. So, you guys might be wondering what "I" was actually doing in this team. Well.. the same feeling crept into my mind several times. And the answer is - I was guiding them and also handling a part of outdated services section. :P

And then came the review. I was prepared for any kind of remarksas reviews have always been a part of my college life where i used to get lashed and thrashed by the reviewers. We gave our best, but still the presentation was a bit off because we failed to present our report in the form of a PPT. At the end of the day, the better team (my best friend Jeen's team) won and they really deserved the victory. And now, myself and Jeen are in the same content writing team and this new team is something i would cherish for a long time!

My Pink T-shirt!!

It's been my routine getting up late , getting ready for office in a hurry and driving my car rashly. I'm usually not the good planner, or "work in advance" type of guy. I just decide my dress, few minutes before starting to office. And today is no day different. But the choice of dress i decided to wear today just made up my whole day!!

The pink T-shirt!! My uncle, from Dubai, who had come here for vacation, gifted me this T-shirt yesterday. The color was attractive but still seemed funny. Who would wear a Pink T-shirt other than a Ramarajan fan? Well, am not a Ramarajan fan, but still I used to like him for his acting skills with his co-artist ( a cow) in a tamil movie.

The moment i exited my car and locked it, the first thing i noticed was a guy, very near, smiling at me. But the smile was different. It had a lot of "inner" meanings just like the internal links of an website :P There were a lot of people giving the same sort of reaction and it kinda freaked me out.

When i entered office,   my office mate commented "praveen you look so girlish" and thats when i realised the reason behind everyone's smile. And when my team head enquired about my T-shirt, i at first thought it to be a positive comment, but then only realised that she too was a part of the masses who had made a joker out of me. :P ;)

And after all that happened today, i really have the doubt of why my uncle had gifted me this shirt! Was this "pink" T-shirt really a new one? Or did he gift me this (second hand) after his personal experience with this shirt? ;)
Did he too feel the same "comedian" sort of feeling, "which i felt today", when he wore that??!! Will ask him and let you guys know... :(

My first month in whitelake!!

White lake! The first company that came for campus recruitment to our college. In fact the only one. The company 's location dint create much attention among the students, but still i thought of giving it a go. I successfully passed the initial tests and was then called for personal interview. The interaction i had with the CEO and Mr. Arun made me change my idea about the company. It was more an interactive session that generated a lot of ideas rather than a lecture session. Even though there were discussions on general topics, they were open to my ideas. The CEO asked me a lot of questions related to the day-to-day happenings and i thank "The Hindu" for helping me answering those questions. In fact, it was the only day, after several years, that i thought of reading a paper. :)

My first day of work, my entry into a new  phase of life was something special. The first week was full of fun and very little of training. It was easy for me to adapt myself in this new environment, because 4 out of the 7 guys were from my college. The working atmosphere was good. Friendliness, helping tendency, team work could all be felt in just two weeks of our training.

Then we were split up into two teams for an analysis work. It was a fine period of work time, where we got to know a lot about each and every person. We were then finally grouped according to our field and under the guidance of our content writing team head, we finally entered into our "training session". So far So good! Writing 3-4 articles a day, was something different initially. But now I've adapted to it and find it fun. It's a real new learning experience and writing contents with your own ideas and understanding is something surely beneficial.  The first month is about to come to an end, but still will remain in my memory for a long time because it is my first job ! first month and obviously gonna be my a first salary!! :P
